E. Cole (1916 to 2000) was born
in Worcester, Massachusetts. He graduated from Northeastern University and
worked as a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania and
Massachusetts. Warren was employed as a civil engineer for more than fifty
years with Lycoming Construction Company, serving as president. He was
later employed with Susquehanna Supply Company. Warren contributed to many
public works projects including the Williamsport Levee Project; Little
Pine Creek Dam; Susquehanna River Bridges at Maynard Street (in
Williamsport), Milton, West Milton, Allenwood, Mifflinville, and Danville;
sections of Interstate Routes 80, 81, 84, and 180; the Northeast Extension

Navy Civil Engineer Corps during World War II and the Korean War. He was
an active director and later designated Director Emeritus for the
Associated Pennsylvania Constructors. Warren was also a past president of
the Williamsport Country Club. Donations to the ASHE scholarship fund continue to be
